The previous webinar series were all completely sold out and it has been a while since the last one so I will be running another series starting on Mon 18th March.

This interactive webinar course covers all of the key aspects of decompression theory and is designed to give a thorough grounding in the key concepts required to dive safely. It is aimed at divers who want to expand their understanding of decompression theory. It is also aimed at dive masters, instructors and other and other dive professionals who are responsible for teaching decompression as part of a diving course.

It is split into two six-week modules. The first introduces the basic principles of decompression theory and is ideal for the recreational diver, dive master or instructor who wants to improve their knowledge of decompression theory. No prior knowledge of decompression theory is required for this first module. It also provides the foundation of the second module. The second module covers more advanced decompression topics and is aimed at those who want to go into more detail or who are involved in technical diving either as technical divers or as instructors. It also covers the latest thinking on deep stops as well as on in water recompression.

The course is split into two six-week modules. Each
weekly session included some preparatory
reading and a 60 minute zoom based interactive webinar
each Monday evening at 1900 UK time (UTC+1) and then
again at 1800 East Coast time (UTC-4) for 12 weeks.

The webinar will include presentation of the material,
interactive discussion of the concepts
covered and plenty of opportunities for questions.

It will not just be a zoom-based lecture but will be a
full interactive teaching session designed to help you
retain and be able to use the information presented.

Each webinar will be recorded so you will have a chance
to catch up if you have to miss the odd session but it
is recommended that you attend each session in person
in order to make the most of the interaction.

  3. Principles of decompression; super supersaturation, critical
     supersaturation and M-values

The course is open to divers of any level so there are
no specific qualification prerequisites. We will cover
all of the information required within the background
reading and the course materials

You will need access to Zoom on a PC, Mac, tablet or
smartphone. You will also need a microphone
and speakers. A camera is also very useful in order to join
in interactive aspects of the class.
